When I answered the phone the woman said she was from the warranty department and then asked if I could hear her all right. I stupidly said yes! Then I immediately hung up because it occurred to me that I'd heard of that scam.

It just happened today so I don't know if/when/what will be the result.

Woman called this afternoon and said," Hi, this is Allison in Warranty. Can you hear me now?" I hung up immediately, as I had just remembered what my daughter told me a little earlier today about the scam going on. Ironically, I had another call early last evening from some "vacation" resort, who "had trouble with her headset" and said, "Can you hear me now?" At that time, I had not heard of the scams going around. I've had two scam calls in less than 24 hrs. Is there anything we can do to stop this? Can you trace the number that was on my phone?

My wife got a call from a woman from some warranty dept. and asked "can you here me now?" Without thinking my wife replied "yes." She immediately hung up. There has been no follow up yet.

Person stated that they are the warranty dept. and then asked if I could hear them o.k. I just heard about this scam on the news last night and hung up before saying anything.

The caller said, "This is Alice from the Warranty Department. Can you hear me okay?
