Caller identified herself as Allison from the warranty department. She said my warranty was about to expire. She asked me if I could hear her ok. I remembered that I recently read about scams asking the caller if I could hear them. I had already answered yes. I hung up immediately.

The first sentence was "This is [Name] from the warranty department, can you hear me ok?"

The next line was something akin to a warranty being close to expiring and asking if I wanted to renew or find out how to renew.

Introduced themselves. Hello I'm from the warranty department, can you hear me? I said "I'm sorry?" They repeated. Hello I am from the warranty department, can you hear me? I hung up because I heard on tv that this was a scam.
