I received a text message advertising an employment opportunity as a Secret Shopper at my local Walmart. The text was sent to my phone number ending in *3056, and it was a group (SMS) text to my number and the four preceding phone numbers (i.e. *3052-*3055). The structure of the phone numbers used and two typos in the web address and company name caused me to think this was an online scam.

The company name was spelled Warlmart, not Walmart. The web address spelled "evaluation" as 'evalaution.' I don't know if this indicates the scammer is unfamiliar with English or "similar yet different" spellings are used to allow scam offers to elude spam filters.
