I received a $1900 check to be deposited in my bank account to purchase Walmart gift cards in the following amounts: 2 - $500 at one Walmart and 1- $500 at a second Walmart. I was instructed to send a text to 315-227-3258 when I received the package; I did...no response. I knew something was suspicious after looking at the extensively long letter with instructions detailing my task. Also, the Walmart logo was distorted and faded. After purchasing the gift cards, I was instructed to unwrap the cards, take pictures of the front and back and send the pics in a text to the phone number in the letter. The check looks official drawn on a Regions Bank with no bank location imprinted on the check. The signature looks authentic but too good to be true. DON'T FALL FOR IT! IT IS A SCAM!
