SHOOT DESCRIPTION
Vue New Jersey Magazine, a premier lifestyle and fashion publication based in New Jersey. We celebrate the vibrant fashion scene and cultural diversity of the region.
The primary responsibility of the photographer is to capture striking images of four models (2 females and 2 males) dressed in carefully curated outfits, all in pursuit of producing compelling editorial content. The photographer should be prepared to work remotely with a team, including the models, a hair and makeup artist, and a wardrobe stylist, ensuring that every aspect of the photoshoot contributes seamlessly to the overall vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fashion Photography: Produce 24 high-quality fashion photographs that align with the magazine's editorial standards and artistic vision.
Collaboration: Work closely with our editorial teams to plan and execute fashion photoshoots, ensuring that the creative concept and style are on point.
Location Scouting: Scout and select suitable locations, studios, and sets for photoshoots to achieve the desired visual aesthetics.
Model Direction: Provide clear direction to models, stylists, and makeup artists to bring out the best result.
Post-Production: Edit and retouch photographs as needed to enhance their visual impact while maintaining the authenticity of the fashion content.
Deadlines: Deliver high-resolution, edited photographs on or before March 18th, 2024.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience in editorial/fashion/beauty/portrait photography, with a portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of composition, lighting, and aesthetics.
Proficiency in photography equipment and software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, as you will work closely with the editorial and styling teams.
Creativity, an eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to different styles and moods.
OTHER DETAILS:
24 photos are expected to be delivered on the deadline.
Digital photos will be delivered via an online file sharing platform
The photographer will be paid $5000 photography fee and $1000 studio and equipment fee.
Vue NJ Magazine will provide the outfits/wardrobe from a sponsor.
The models and styling team will travel to the photographer's preferred location.
CREATIVE NOTE AND EXAMPLES
There will be 2 female models and 2 male models.
Each model will be shot individually. No couple or group photographs.
There will be 6 photographs per model, and shot in different poses (Standing, sitting on a chair/stool, sitting on the floor, and leaning on objects etc.).
The photos will be shot indoors. Location could be a studio, storehouse, apartment, or an abandoned house with rustic backdrops.
The backdrop could be seamless clear color or natural background like in some of the examples below.
Pictures will be in colored format.
COLOR:
Color of Dress - bright colors with the addition of some bright accessories.
Color of Hair - Black, Blonde, or Gray
ACCESSORIES:
Watches, Scarfs, Necklaces, Hand Bags, and wristbands
FRAMING:
A mix of Portrait and Landscape
