I received a letter from a company, Voice Legal, Lawsuit Notification Company, saying that a lawsuit had been filed against me in the Orange County Superior Court listing a case number, filing date and plaintiff and defendant in the case. The letter stated that a timely response must be filed with the court by an attorney or by myself and that a phone call will not suffice and if a response is not filed then a default judgement may be issued which would allow collection processes to begin. The letter stated that Legal Voice is a corporation in good standing and that there was absolutely no cost to receive the information regarding the superior court lawsuit and if needed they, Voice Legal, also offer at no charge an honest attorney referral. The letter stated that Voice Legal has no affiliation with the parties involved in the law suit and that they are a completely neutral company. I was thanked for my consideration and trust and they hoped to speak with me soon, and it was signed by Mark P. Simpson, Executive Director of Operations.
