One person contacted my son in art station and offered him to buy his work as NFT, then it was sold, BUT we need to add some extra money to "protect" our account. Then our money is there, in the account but we cannot transfer it neither do anything with it and the person who started the process disappear.

I was messaged via Instagram that this individual impersonating another individual wanted to buy my art as an NFT.

They directed me to this site and continuously messaged me via what's app

I entered $222 worth of cryptocurrency and possibly my social security address into the site before realizing I had been scammed

Lindsey looks like you've fallen for one of this numerous crypto scam,I also fell for one in February,a fake crypto mining investment scheme.
But . Since all the payments I made were through cryptocurrencies,I was able to get help via email at ( Adminctrackltd@ protonmail. Com ) a crypto tracking company.
Wonderfully after providing my details, it took them barely 3 days to trace and retrieve my funds. Get help from them if you are in a similar mess.
