I applied for an at home data entry position through the Indeed app and received this email. Once I read that I needed to download the SIGNAL app (I knew nothing about this app prior) I felt uneasy. When looking at this app in the App Store similar apps which promote “ghost messaging” come up. This is what the email stated:

Dear Candidate,

We have been impressed with your background and would like to schedule an interview with you for the position of a Data Entry Operator at Viva Consulting Group. This is a full-time position.

We will be offering you $24/hr. In regard to the company policy, you will also have access to benefits such as health and insurance plan, corporate mobile or travel expenses and paid vacation per year etc.

INTERVIEW SETUP:

To proceed further, kindly download SIGNAL on your mobile phone via the app store. Then add Mrs. Rachael Granada via her SIGNAL ID (8026364793) to schedule an interview with her. Just copy the number/ID and paste in the search bar and then go ahead and send a message or a request.
