Vitaluminance and Regenelift 'free trials' are both scams.

You are charged nearly $100 per month to receive more 'product', which is not effective. There apparently is fine print on their site, which I found after much work.

I spoke to someone on the phone who said that I must return the product unopened and unused, but the agreement says to return the unused portion of the product.

I emailed and received a cancellation code. I also called a few times before finally getting through.

They alternately hung up, pretended they couldn't hear me, or tried obfuscation to confuse the issue when I said to reverse the charges to my credit card. I met the 14 day obligation to cancel.

I am now returning the product, but hold little hope that it will reverse the charges.

On 3/9/16, I ordered a trial offer of a skin care product called Vitaluminance via a sponsored Facebook ad that promoted Christie Brinkley and Dr. Oz's endorsement. Per the terms of the product purchase agreement, a customer was allowed to cancel the free trial within 15 days of placing the order and not incur any additional charges. I received my product yesterday, 3/12/16. However, I saw another sponsored Facebook ad with the same celebrity endorsement, but now the skin product being sold was entirely different. This raised concerns that what I ordered on 3/9/16 may be part of a scam. Today, 3/13/16, I called Vitaluminance at (1-800-878-9702) with the intent to cancel my order. The automated system immediately gave me a single option to select "1" to cancel my order. It then informed me that my order had been cancelled, but that I'd agreed to receive future product shipments at the discounted rate of $38.71. I immediately proceeded to request to speak to a customer service representative. The customer service representative (Anna-- ID #14950) confirmed my initial order/product cancellation, but reiterated I had "automatically agreed" to continued order shipments at the $38.71 discounted rate based on phone selection to cancel my order. I was perplexed and told her the system gave me only one option to cancel my account. I then proceeded to tell her I did not want any other products and asked her to cancel everything as I did not agree to receiving any other products at the regular price or discounted rate. After thoroughly explaining to the customer service rep that I was calling well within the 15 days (per the contract agreement) to cancel my order, she proceeded to provide me 2 return item numbers and said that the only way I would get the $38.71 "refunded" to me would be to return the initial product. I again reiterated that I was making her aware that I did not agree to the charge, did not want the product, and would be reporting the company to the BBB. She informed me that the charge "automatically" went through based on my phone selection. Because there was no other option I could select to cancel my order, I feel the company fraudulently misleads consumers.

I have since called my credit card company and cancelled my account to prevent any further charges from Vitaluminace. Given my experience and the additional Facebook ad I saw for a different skin product and same celebrity endorsements, I felt it imperative to report this to the ScamPulse.com as it appears to be a very misleading and possibly fraudulent scam.
