Pre-recorded call>>.basically indicates it is your last chance to lower your interest rate on your current credit card. Scammer indicates that they are working on behalf of Visa, Mastercard and Discover and they are the banks and they imply they have power to lower the interest rate with credit card company in my case they mentioned capital one. They first ask for you to verify the expiration of your credit card...after a lot of back and forth no information was given, but they seemed to know my name and zip code. I think they guessed I had a capital one card. After asking for an address and phone number to verify their validity of their claim to be part of this program offering lower interest rates, the person said "I already explained everything to you ***" and hung up on me. There are couple of other things he said but after he got upset and hung up on me, I was shocked, so I don't remember everything right now.
