I am reporting a fraud phone call I received yesterday. I answered the call on my home phone. He said he said he was a Visa fraud investigator. I don't remember. Something like that. He asked who I was. I gave my full name. He asked my birthday so he could confirm who he was talking to. I gave my birthday. He gave me another phone number for me to call. 800-600-5249. I called the number. They answered Fraud something. I don't remember. He wanted to know my credit card number so he knew who he was talking to. I gave the entire credit card number. He asked for the last four digits of my Social Security number. I gave the last four digits. He said I had a $99.99 charge to my account from Montana. They would wipe my number out and issue a new card. I should not have given him information. If he is from the company they should know what the number is. I reported this to my credit union. There was no charge on my card.
