Went on Groupon to purchase dryer vent cleaning. Purchased one through company, they immediately redeemed it. I called, they said they would schedule me. Tech didn’t show up at scheduled time. He was over 40 minutes late. I explain that I had other things going on, and he’d have to reschedule. He asked how much vent I had, and I said roughly 12 ft. He looked at the exit vent and said it was extra dirty and would be an additional fee for that. I said I’ll pay the extra footage that the Groupon mentioned, but it mentioned nothing about how dirty. He quoted an additions $297 when the initial coupon was $30. I said no, that I’m not going to be scammed and I expect a refund. At which time he said no because he came to site. Even after I told him no because he was so late. They’re selling $30,40, 50 coupons only to attempt to upscale and when you refuse, they’re sticking you with the initial cost.
