Almost the exact message. The guy further claimed to be Eric and he wanted to know my name. I didn't give it.

I had an ad online to sell a car. Received a text from "buyer" said he wanted to meet the next day and he was very interested and would be paying cash. Then he said "oh, forgot to ask, can you send me the report" I said "what report" and he sent a link for "vinvehiclereports.com" I said if he wanted one, he could buy it, that I've been very honest and open about the condition of the vehicle. then he said " I'm waiting for you to send me the report so can arrange a day off." Again, I said, "I'm not buying a report." then he said "I sent you a link, you are selling it and I didn't haggle or negotiate, just need to see a report before I drag a friend with me and take a day off from work." so, I said, Okay, if you are serious, I'll buy a report to send to you but I'm using a different website". never heard from him again.
