I received a phone call (automated message), that showed in caller ID as "0", from Vinton County Bank stating that my debit card had been cancelled and that I needed to return the phone call to reactivate my card. I do not, and have never, banked with the Vinton County bank and I know many people in my hometown that have 740 area code phone number that have also received this call that have never banked with them. A story was published in The Logan Daily News to warn area consumers about this scam as they seem to be targeting Southeastern Ohio consumers.
