I was contacted by Peter Toms about an automobile that I was selling. He said he was interested but his Bank required an auto history from Vin Facts Pro. I submitted the history report and have sent numerous emails with no response.

I listed my car on Craigslist and received an email expressing strong interest in the vehicle. The scammer then requested that I purchase a vehicle history report which I have already done from a legitimate site some time back. He refused this document and requested that I use only the specific link provided in the email as 'his lender was requesting it'. The script became suspicious at this point and upon researching fraud schemes, the script ended up being virtually identical to other reported scripts asking for buyers to provide Vehicle History Reports. The conversation ended at that point with a notice to the scammer that I would report the email address to authorities. Patrick Grossi

Trying to sell my car on Craigslist and individual demanded that I use vinfactspro.org in order to buy a report with credit card and provide to buyer so that he can get a loan to purchase my vehicle.

ACTUAL EMAIL:

Don't get me wrong but I heard a few horror stories about vehicle sales and most important , my lender requires it otherwise I can't get the loan for your vehicle.
