I was contacted via email regarding a mystery shopping job. A few days later, I received a letter from FedEx along with a cashiers check for $1920. I was instructed to cash the check and purchase 4 $400 gift cards from Wal-Mart as a "mystery shopper." After I purchased the gift cards I was asked to scratch off the code on the back, take a picture, and text it to my contact person Athelstan Galloway.

I didn't follow the directions to scratch the cards. Instead I notified Wal-Mart who returned my money and I contacted my bank.
