Used carinfostory.com for VIN check, paid $1 then cancelled. Ten days later found charges to a hotel and Pizza Hut in Colorado Springs, CO, totaling $492.36 Bank gave a provisional refund; I am working on contacting Townhouse Suites and Pizza Hut to determine why they used debit card information without verifying identity.

I posted that I was selling a car on KSL car classifies, I received a text message asking to buy the car but first I would have to buy a car report and they provide the link in the text. When you click on it, it takes your money and sends a false report and or the person takes your information from the link. They pressure you to get the report from their link even when you provided a real report. They continue to insist and that they are ready to pay you lots of money for your car so you can pay for the report. The report then shows all your information and takes your credit card information. I had to cancel my credit card. The person used the phone number 1-514-547-3390, the name they used is Harry John and used the link autohistoryworld.com and they called it an AH report.

Individual contacted me through Autotrader.com messaging and was initially nice and asking normal questions about my vehicle, however when after a few messages the person became pushy and insisted that CarFax reports are trash and that I should purchase a report from a scam website called https://unlockvin.com/. This is a very common scam and it seems that new websites get created everyday.
