VIN History Limited Reports & Reviews (4)

This person asked if my vehicle was still available. We proceeded with a back and forth about the vehicle. They then asked for me to send the report. Then sent a website saying it has never steered them wrong.

I knew then that they had no intention of purchasing my vehicle.

I have the same situation. A guy said he wishes to buy my van listed on Kijiji Toronto. He insists me to get the MV report from www.vinhistorylimited.com. He urged me several times even I showed him another vin report. This site charged me $26 usd for the report and turns out the report just shows the value and the average mileage of your car. So please ever go on that site. It's not legit, it's a scam.

I got a call from the guy saying that he wanted vehicle history even though I had a Carfax. But he insisted that he would only accept it from vinHistorylimited.com I asked what info he was looking for that wasn't available on Carfax and everything he said seemed super sketchy. So I googled his number and this site came up. I took a screen shot of the web page and sent it to him and he basically disappeared. The sites a fake it's theft under a $5000 so cops won't do anything either. He's basically charging your credit card and taking your person information when you sign up with nothing in return. Vinhistorylimited.com is not a real Carfax website so be careful not to give you personal information or your credit card number to this site. If you have I would recommend canceling your credit card because they can potentially add other charges to it. They will be small enough for you not to notice but they will add up over time. 819-415-0767 is a pay as you go number which he'll most likely change once enough people post it online as a scammer.

I listed my car for sale on ************* and got a text message from the scammer who looked like a legit buyer. He asked some questions about the car and then asked me a vehicle history report. I told him I didn't have one at the moment and then he sent me a link to www.vinhistorylimited.com.

The website looks legit at 1st but it's not.

Some minutes after another guy contacted me with the same conversation but asked a report from *****************
