- Seattle, WA, USA

My dishwasher broke. After calling a bunch of appliance repair places listed locally on google I came upon the number for, Viking Appliance Repair. They were very close on the map and said they could send someone out immediately. A man arrived, pulled out my dishwasher and after a while said that it needed a new pump. He said he would order one and it would be here in a couple days. He asked for me to pay 1/2 the bill ($229.00). I agreed, although it seemed off for some reason, and gave him my credit card. He took the info and had me sign his phone twice. I asked for a business card and was supplied one with another businesses name, New Star Appliance Repair, then he left. The card had a California address and and the website: http:/newstarappliancerepair.com/ The website also had an LA address and was written in poor English. When I called the original local number back the person that answered the phone was defensive and would not give me the supposed address of the business stating that, “he couldn’t.” He also gave me a new bogus name of the supposed business, Appliance Repair in Seattle. He then said I didn’t have to use the business if I didn’t want to. I hung up and canceled my credit card.
