I got an email via our website contact portal that said we won an award, and claiming they’d attempted to contact us. Red flags were that they provided two different links to click to claim the “award”. I googled the website and found a page listing no actual business details. Their contact page had a long shipping policy listed on it, which also raised some red flags. Finally, I googled if this could be a scam and an old article from 2016 popped up where the bbb was warning of these types of scams. So I’m reporting this “company” so hopefully no one else in my community is targeted. There is a “best of” victoria program run by the local newspaper that is legit, so I’d hate for businesses to be targeted and confused thinking it’s them.
