I received an email about a job offer that I do not remember applying for. The email address is from protonmail, an encrypted email service. Their "hiring desk" says I have to add Jeff Anderson to my Microsoft Teams to hear more about the job. He continues to chat with me through text about the interview, and says it must be through text. I answer his interview questions, and then he asks me about cryptocurrency, which was weird. He said I will have to meet again at 8am tomorrow for more interview details.

Just received a text stating they seen my resume on indeed and I got the positions.. To be paid 35 an hour with Veon Ltd doing customer service, data entry or call center.. To interview they wanted me to download what's app or Skype when I started asking more detailed questions they stopped replying. #SCAM

A lady contacted me because she saw my information on Indeed.com. She told me I would have to download WhatsApp to talk to a guy about my training. I never spoke to these people over the phone or saw their faces. It was all through text, which I found strange. Long story short, they sent me a check, which I found out was fraudulent. I contacted my bank about it and they informed me that everything about their process was fake. The people, the phone numbers, the check were all a scam. My bank let me know that if they tried anything, that I could report them. That is why I am putting their information here.
