I received a message from the phone number provided above in response to an ad for a used vehicle for sale. The person contacting me reported being interested in purchasing the car I had listed for sale and requesting a specific vehicle history report from the website listed above, while refusing to look at existing report from CarFax and NMVTIS. Concern for phishing to commit identity theft.

The individual saw my online listing for a used truck. He stated he was interested and wanted a vehicle history report so he could check the vehicle more thoroughly. He claimed he had been burned in the past without a report. He recommended a service that could provide the info. I paid for the basic report and forwarded the bogus report to the individual. He had suggested a time that he would come to look at the vehicle. There was no contact after I had paid for the report. Once the fee for the report had been paid, all contact was discontinued.

The online company, vehicleverificationreports.com, is just a site with no method of discussing problems. The ScamPulse.com has no record of such a company so I am seeking reimbursement through the payment method I used. I asked for resolution with the vendor, but I'm sure that won't happen. I will make a claim and pursue it from there.
