I posted my car for sale and a day or 2 later I received a couple of text messages inquiring about my vehicle, it seemed all normal, the person was initially asking if the vehicle was involved in any accidents and if there were any parts replaced, then it followed by the scammer insisting that i get and share with him some CAI info, which i thought was odd since I’ve never heard about it before, later the person sent me a link to the website which was canadaautoinvestigate.com I followed that link and the website seemed fake to me with fabricated testimonials, then it occurred to me that the scammer is after the report money and has no interest in the car itself and after i pay for the report he won’t respond to me. So, I just wanted to share this incident to warn others not to fall for the cam, i have attached a screen shot of the conversation with the scammer, unfortunately it’s only a fragment as the whole conversation was deleted before realizing that this type of scam needs to be reported
