Wants me to activate my vehicle service contract for my automobile, just gives an 800 number, no return address included on the form. Just for me to call back before 8/4/18 and provided with a Vehicle Code. Received this information in the mail. I do not have a car !!!

Victim Location 07924
Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

I received an anonymous letter with no address, no company name, and only a phone number. The recipient was my mother but the address was mine. My mother would be 100 today. That was the first clue I knew this was a fake attempt at scaring an old person into paying money. I called the phone number and no one answered.

The letter looked like a late due bill for car repairs.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

This is a letter sent by mail, looking like an official document sent by the Department of Motor Vehicles. I have not owned a car since 1974. I have received this notice once a year for the last 3 years. There is no website or address. There is a "Repair Examples" on the back, made to look like a bill for $12,914.75, even though it isn't. I suspect meant to fool the elderly into payment.

Please see 2 attached scans for details.
