I recently bought a house and this "company" called Protection Group contacted me via phone, saying the lender referred them for me to purchase insurance for electrics and appliances. On a Friday I agreed to a 3-year "policy" costing a total $3,500, with the first payment they took immediately of $195. I never found a website for this company, so I felt suspicious and on Monday called them to cancel the policy. The man on the phone had a terrible attitude and yelled at me that in order to cancel my policy I needed to write a physical letter to the company and gave me the address of 223 Salt Like Rd. Saint Peters, MO 63376. I called my credit card company to cancel future charges. I believe this company to be a scam as they were rude and without any online presence or accreditation.
