There was a form/ad on LinkedIn about a women's association which I applied for, given it was on LinkedIn and I thought it was a reputable group. They started calling my phone number which I provided almost everyday, while texting me a message saying they need a follow-up call regarding my application, so I need to speak with a membership coordinator.

I took the call, and they started off with generic questions (e.g. "What's your current role," "what are your daily tasks," "why do you want to be a part of WWA) and then they went on with soliciting the membership fee for a lifetime/monthly membership. I asked to summarize the details to me in an email and they started really pushing for the membership, enticing me with the benefits (which I can't recall, probably because there isn't any).

Also in the attachment I included, I don't think "VP of Membership Enrollment" is a real position, unless all that the group does is to enroll members :)
