I was hired for a remote job to do customer service and provide realestate demographics and market research about cities in Texas. I worked the hours, completed assignments and was mailed a paycheck. The paycheck was meant to pay for my work hours, equipment related to work and commission off of the sales and services provided. I received the paycheck via mail and found out it was returned by the bank and now I owe that money back. I was told to send the cash back to the employer and they would solve the issue. I was scammed and now i have been threatened with legal consequences from the check casher when did not know I was being scammed. I worked the hours, and got paid for it so I thought.
