Va Facebook Lottery Reports & Reviews (1)

- Lakeland, FL, USA

Message initiated by "lottery agent" posing as personal friend, even with her picture, asking how we were doing. She told me she had just won $200,000 from a facebook random drawing. The UPS delivered her check and she saw my name on his list of winners, so she contacted me. I replied as though talking to my friend, and she gave me the link to get details. The link initiated a conversation with the agent who congratulated me, asked for personal information, and informed me I had won $200,000. I only needed to send $2,000 for "tax and clearance fee." That's when I was sure it was a scam. Also there was some poor English used that neither my friend nor any professional would use. I contacted my friend to inform her she had been hacked, and contacted our local authorities but they have not followed up with me. I still have the agent's conversation but do not know how to attach.
