The caller said he was from Virginia Dominion Power (not Dominion Energy, apparently he did not know about the name change). He said he was calling about me being disconnected from service. I hung up then.

I work for a small business in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. The person who called said that he represented Virginia Dominion Power and that the power bill to the store was delinquent and if it wasn't paid for immediately the power would be turned off in one hour. The call back number given to resolve the situation is 1-800-687-8718, ext. 130. The person who received the call was named David Roger. He asked for a check to be paid for via Western Union, but when asked what the return address on the account that was billed, the person did not know, alerting us to the scam.
