A Utility Gas & Power representative solicited my house in Stow Ohio under the premise that he works with the PUCO and that the city of stow is suing dominion energy over an aggregate gas price arrangement.

The City of Stow has confirmed that there is no such litigation. The PUCO has stated that the individual (Ian) and his company (Utility Gas & Power) do not work for not represent their organization or have any agreements to organize litigation on their behalf.

Please be aware that this individual and company will solicit your address with misleading and false information in an attempt to acquire new customers.

Utility Gas & Power representatives are currently targeting neighborhoods with older demographics.

I received a call on my home telephone last Friday. I felt the call was suspicious. The caller had a heavy accent. Said he was calling from the company Utility Gas & Power. He gave me the phone number 885-747-4931. Located in Columbus OH. Offering a lower electric rate. I would only pay 4.99. He already had my name and address. He asked for the twenty digit customer number on my bill. I gave it out over the phone. He said thank you for joining Utility Gas & Power and hung up. I called my two utility companies. I should call them back in two days. They will terminate if it was switched. When I call back the phone just rings. I feel it is a scam. He had also said if I opt out before three months I have to pay $150. I wanted to report the call.
