I received a text from USPS that my package could not be delivered due to incomplete address with a website to click to provide complete address. I clicked on the website, which seemed valid because it had the USPS American Eagle logo. I entered my complete address and phone number, clicked next and was then prompted to add credit card info to pay a $0.09 redelivery fee. Suspicious of this, I did not enter credit card info. I performed an online search and learned that this is a known scam and to report it to the Better Business Bureau. I am now concerned that my full address and phone number are in the hands of clever scammers and that I may be targeted again at a later date. Attached are screenshots of the initial text message noting the phone number it came from and a second screenshot of the request for credit card info. In this second screenshot, you can see the website's USPS logo and a tracking number for a package. I did not enter this tracking number into any online search for fear of further scam activity.
