They clearly called me due to my Asian surname. They pronounced it wrong, spelled it wrong, and when I gave them my real last name, they insisted they pronounced and spelled it right. They then proceeded to tell me about my immigration status, if I'm trying to hide my identity from the US government, why I didn't update/fill out the I-94 form, how this is a federal crime, how everything I say will be used against me in court, etc. Hopefully this helps anyone with a non-white surname, especially those with parents/grandparents who immigrated and aren't aware of these types of scams or those on a visa.
