I sent my resume to one of the job postings as Quality control manager. I was contacted by a person who offered me a position part time, describing that I just received some boxes, and I should just evaluate what's inside, if its broken and that i would receive 3150 dollars per month. I was intrigued and I signed w2 and contract. now my social security info is exposed.

I was contacted by [email protected] via an email with a subject like this: RE:Employee required ~ !!! Inside the email was a job offer for Quality Control Worker, half-time. I was instructed to reply to the email with my location & phone number if I was interested. After I did so, three days went by, & then a "James Dean" began communicating with me, sending me two google doc links. One described the job & contained a very poorly constructed website. One was a two-page form to fill out as my "application." Poor English was sprinkled throughout the correspondence & the website, with many facets of the website not even built out, despite its claim of having been around since 2012. Every google search produced nothing. I searched the names & pictures randomly included in their "About Us" page (no picture has a job title, & the names!! "Noel Garland"????). I looked up the address they claimed, contacted the building manager & inquired as to the validity of their claim to be there. I will have to wait to hear, but I already know the answer. Being unemployed & trying to get hired during a tech hiring freeze is the absolute pits. But this was the pits. I wish I knew enough to get these people prosecuted.
