On February 19th, 2025, I looked up how to renew my passport. Clicked on the first website I saw, usapassportonline.org, and put in my identifying information. After completing the forms, I put in my debit card information to pay a processing fee (about $80). I got a confirmation email with my Passport Application, order number, and instructions for next steps. I saw a pending payment on my checking account for the processing fee. However, I tried to check today to see if the payment went through or who the payment was sent to, but I do not see the charge anymore.

I tried to renew my passport through USApassportonline.org not knowing that is was the official government site. It's the first site that

shows up when googling "passport renewal". They charge a fee for the renewal forms. I gave the site my debit card info and social

security number. Someone at the post office informed me that the site I used was not legit. I did not mail the forms they sent me. I

then read several articles online that these 3rd party sites steal your information and not to use them I immediately contacted my bank and got my

account frozen. I froze my credit report and put a fraud alert on it.

Like a fool I did a general web search for passport application information and this was the first site that popped up. I filled out my information, paid the $66 fee, purchased the insurance and submitted it. I got the email with the form filled but never got a receipt. I then went to check their website for the receipt info but the search only came up this time with the official .gov site & the notice they never take payment online. I then knew I made a mistake. I did research this site, found how to get a refund & called them. They tried to only give 25%, then 50% but I insisted on a full refund & that they purge all my info. The representative said she'd "check with her manager". I got an email confirming they'd refund me and purge my info. Fingers crossed! Also, I contacted my credit card to file a claim in case I never got it. I already have a freeze on my credit reports, thank goodness. NOTE: There is no address on their website.

Website advertised passport application, once you complete and pay for the order, they let you know you still have to process an official application fee with the government.

They showed to mimick a government entity able to renew your passport online. Instead they take your money and send you a downloadable form you can fill out yourself. They took all personal info such as address, SSN, email, telephone number, card number

The company collected personal/financial info for a fraudulent service and charged my credit card. The website should be removed.

Found website online, filled out information such as DOB, SSN, name, location, email and parents’ information as well. Paid for the service via Affirm. Received confirmation email along with document prepped for passport application. Discovered several errors, and per the confirmation email’s directions regarding contacting customer service, I attempted to email twice, to which the emails were not able to be delivered. One email was regarding canceling and refunding the transaction as I found out the paperwork was not the correct form I needed to fill out, and the form I needed was not an option through this website.

I had heard that you could now RENEW your passport online so I went to the google search and did passport renewal. it was a .org site and asked for all of my husbands personal information. (He is the one renewing it). It looked like I was filing it online, like I had been told you can do now. I put in his DOB , SS# , parents name, our address, my dob / name and submitted, then got an email with the 'printable' forms to MAIL IN, even though it said it was 'online renewal'. I called the number and they stated that I paid $88 for them to create a PDF with all his information in the correct fields so that I could 'mail it in'. I thought this site was the passport site and I thought I was filling everything online so no mail was needed. Nothing about this site told me it was a 3rd party collecting my husbands personal information or that although I submitting the information online, It was only generating a fillable form , for us to mail in. I only realized it after the fact when the instructions that were emailed said to print everything out and still mail a check to the passport office for $130. I paid $88 for them the 'help' fill out a form that is FREE online. When I asked for a refund , they said they could offer me 25% now, and I said no, I want a full refund, and they said ok how about 50% money back now. I said no a full refund and they said ok, they'd have to staff it with a supervisor and if it was approved , it would be processed in 5 to 7 days. I feel like this was horrible false advertisement, pretending to be an official site, and not clearly marked as a 3rd party vendor. I now have my husbands personal information with this company as well.
