When I searched online for passport forms, this website came up with the forms. I filled them out and then was charged $50 "to be sent the filled-out form in a PDF format." The site did state the $50 fee was not the passport fee. I did not realize the forms are attainable for free from the government. This site originally looked like a government site providing the forms and it seemed as though paying $50 for the form was now "normal." Now I know it is not normal. I'm now out $50 and have a filled-out PDF form that, if I had gone to the correct (government) website in the first place, I could have had in less time and for free. I'm also very concerned that this company now has all my personal information--everything needed to get a passport. I was stupid in my haste to get a passport application completed and off my to-do list.
