USA Vehicle Report Reports & Reviews (11)

I received a message from the phone number provided above in response to an ad for a used vehicle for sale. The person contacting me reported being interested in purchasing the car I had listed for sale and requesting a specific vehicle history report from nationalreportsvin.com, while refusing to look at existing report from CarFax and NMVTIS. Concern for phishing to commit identity theft.

From phone 435-296-2158. Posted my car for sale on KSL. Didn't pursue after reading the responses on this website. Here are all the texts the scammer sent me:

"hello are you still have the Toyota RAV4"

"Perfect, have you owned it for a while now? How is the engine any issues?"

"oh okay, Im very serious here ready to make a deal if all is good, What time is going to work for you? where are you located?"

"Okay, no problem, I'm interested, the price you're asking is reasonable in comparison to others, so that's not a problem, and I can pay cash. When do you think we'll be able to meet? where are you located?"

"I can do 9500 with UVR. Well im in Lehi, lets do that then 2pm ok?"

"Sorry im talking about the uptodate Carfax record but only the owner can pull the info from here , USAvehiclereport .com , im Rob , can i get your name again?"

I can't believe that it took me this far into the discussion to realize something was off. Couple things that didn't make sense. They wanted to "make a deal", but then offered the exact price I was offering (which I thought was great!). Then where it got really weird was increasing my price by $50 and asking me to get a "UVR" and an "uptodate Carfax record" from "USAvehiclereport . com". I texted the scammer back and told them they can get their own CarFax report using the link I sent them. So far no response back. My biggest regret is I gave the scammer my address, but I don't think any harm will come from this.

Scam! Purchased a VIN report for our new car. Got charged, can't cancel, can't talk to anybody, out $25. Disputing the charge and cancelling my debit card now. Steer clear!

Acted interested in a vehicle I am selling. Even set up a time to come out. Would not accept CARFAX. I received about 5 text from people wanting me to purchase a vehicle history report. It's a scam, do not buy from. Texted from 801-998-2842.

Man texted acting like he was interested in buying my car. Even asked questions like he was interested. Would not accept Carfax and only wanted me to buy a report from his link. USAVehiclereports.com. It's fake they will take your info and credit card number and give you a crap report. Complete fraud

Trying to sell on craigslist and this is the line they give. Looked fishy so I researched it and they're scammers!

"Whats your availability? I've got a few days to make a purchase and yours makes the most sense. Are you available tomorrow? If so what time is good?
Lets set up for tomorrow at 2pm. I'll arrange a day off before leaving tonight. Oh forgot to ask, can you send me the UVR report?"

Posted car on KSL, a seemingly interests buyer eventually insists on a vin report check from "USAvehiclereport.com" I finally give in, and the $25 charge to my card is from a credit card (not a legit business)

This man by the name of "smith" texted me as he was interested in buying my car. He directed me to this website to get an AV report for him and I had to pay 25 bucks to get it. I havent heard from him since.

I was selling my car on KLS.com. I received contact with a potential buyer who requested an auto report that cost $25. He offered a website to use. I searched around, but it seemed efficient and legit, until purchase, I realized it was pulling through PayPal. I contacted my credit card company informing them of this fraud. It didn't tell me it was be transmitted through paypal until I received an e-mail receipt.

Potential buyer of my car asked me to get a vehicle title report from usavehiclereport.com in order to prove vehicle history to him. Seemed fishy, and when I offered him a car fax report, he went quiet. Bummer, because I wanted him to buy my car.

As a response to a Car-For-Sale ad I had placed, I received a text message from "Miller" who was interested in buying my car. I arranged to meet him at the local grocery store parking lot the next day at 2:00 so he could see/buy the car. Saying he has a few days to make a purchase and my car made the most sense, he needed to take tomorrow off and oh, he forgot to ask, can you send me the UV report before 10:00 tonight so I can arrange a day off before leaving my shift. He gave me a website to access the report. Or he said I could pay more and use CarFax. When I "googled" UV report, nothing came up on cars. The website of www.usavehiclereport.com did not look official to me, so I stopped there.
