Googled passport renewal application and it was the first website to come up. I didn't double check that it should have been .gov. It looked like a legitimate website asking for all the right information. Asked for a credit card payment of $88. I unchecked an insurance coverage so my total should have been $60. Payment went through and I was sent a filled out passport application form. I went to check my credit card statement shortly after and the amount pending was $88 so I knew something was wrong. Did some googling and discovered this was a scam.
