I was trying to set up our tin/ein for our business I ended up filling information out on this site. The site charged us $249 to file for us, which apparently is free on the IRS website. Was told we would be able to cancel, and we’d receive an email for confirmation on our cancellation and refund. We later called after not receiving an email, and was told we would not receive an email or confirmation for our refund and cancellation. I was also not able to speak to a supervisor after being hung up on, and advised we might also accrue a $75 charge for cancellation. Not even sure how it’s legal for them to do this.

I was searching Google for how to set up an Employee Identification Number (EIN) with the IRS. Unfortunately, this site is listed on Google's top hits or ads, and I clicked on the page. I thought because it had IRS in the URL for the site, that it was legitimate. I should have known better. The site does list a privacy policy that alleges to protect consumer information and not sell it, but I had already given them my personal info., including my SSN. DO NOT GO TO THIS SITE. You can get an EIN with the IRS FOR FREE. This site is a scam!
