Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I called the number a few hours after she forwarded it and an announcement came on saying "Please enjoy the music while your party is reached" which is something I had only heard for cell phones. A woman named Nicole answered and when I asked how she was, she answered "Well, I never thought I'd have more alcohol on my hands than in my body" I got uncomfortable and asked for Nick. She claimed that she was answering all his calls now. She asked for my name and when I told her I was calling about a package delivery she started in on speech about how "since we've worked together for so long and had such a good relationship," her company wanted to send us a gift--an officially licensed football jersey. But they had accidentally sent the wrong team, so what was my favorite team. When I started questioning this lie, she immediately asked if I was the person who did all the purchasing so I said, "No, and she's not in today, but I can take a message" and when I started asking for HER information she asked for my coworker's cell phone number. I said unfortunately she doesn't give that out, and Nicole hastily said "okay then, I'll just call her back later" and hung up.
I am guessing that once you give them your phone number and address, they will send you a fake invoice asking you to pay them for something nonexistent that you supposedly purchased from them.
