I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD.
Bullet points---
-stuff picked up 1/31/21 it is 3/21/21 and I still have not received my move
-I filed a federal complaint to the Department of Transportation
-quoted $1753.18 being charged $3046 for 3 "extra" items "not listed" that are in fact listed! They refunded me $300. This is a joke and illegal.
-refund took 3 weeks almost and I was told I was a liar and there was no call log from me. I emailed the call log and was refunded.
-Ashley, customer service "manager" does not call you back or honor anything she verbally says to you. I asked for her manager and she refused to give me a contact.
- George Micheals will underquote your move on purpose to get you a "binding" agreement and then not honor it.
-They illegally told me they were a moving company and not a brokerage
-They to this day do not know where my things are and have lied in the past.
-when I finally got into contact with the ACTUAL moving company they had no record of US Standard Moving and Storage contacting them. I called over 10 times (and yes I have the call logs and yes Ashley will ask you to email them to her or call you a liar)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY FRAUDULENTLY SELL YOU SERVICES THAT THEY THEN DO NOT PROVIDE.
Somehow the "senior moving coordinator" cannot be reached any longer and I have still not received a call back from my last call to them on 3/8/21.

My two year old and I have 3 outfits each and that's it. Our whole life is in boxes somewhere. My baby's first binky and outfit, our furniture, our clothes, everything.
I'm demanding to be refunded the remaining $300 they charged to their company if they ever answer my calls.
I think they should offset the amount over my "binding" quote as well. Seeing how in #9 of the agreement it states if the amount of goods in the quote is accurate to what is being shipped the price cannot change.
Go to the Department of Transportation website and do your research. What I'm experiencing is illegal. Hostage loads and binding and non binding agreements. Look that up and good luck with your move.

I called US Standard on September 10th to get a quote for moving our household item from Oregon to Texas. I had to pay a $1200 deposit, the next morning on the 11th they called and said they had no trucks in Oregon and would refund. She said it takes 7-14 business days to submit a refund. The only person issuing refunds works from home, emailed her and she said it would be submitted on the 25th. It is the 29th now and still no refund. Called today and customer service said she is behind a few weeks. The billing person has not responded to anymore of my emails since the 25th as to why I haven’t received the $1200 refund.

I was looking for a moving service on the internet; I did a google search for the BEST MOVING COMPANIES, and US Standard Moving and Storage came up in the search. It would be a cross-country move, from CA to SC. I called their number to get more info and a quote on the service I would need. Their sales rep Joshua Wiley (not sure if they truly have any other ones) called me back right away and gave me a great price; he said due to COVID-19 and the fact I was a Senior, I was getting over $3300 in savings. It seemed too good to be true (found out it was!), the only thing that really made me hesitate booking this moving order, was the fact they required a $700.00 deposit. Joshua assured me I had 72 hrs to cancel, but not too worry; if I had any concerns, he could be reached at any time on his cellphone. He was so reassuring ( he helps lots of Seniors!) I have him my debit/credit card # and booked my move on 8/14/2020. Joshua sent a copy of my order viva email with the breakdown of everything, followed by the conditions of cancellation and return of the deposit within 72 hrs. I noticed the part on my order estimate, all the way down, after 23 paragraphs of disclosures, at the bottom”Listed Items”. There was an inaccurate number of boxes noted. I do remember Joshua saying repeatedly, that it wasn’t important that I didn’t have the correct number of items to make an inventory of at this point; he said it was all about cubic space. He said I had enough cubic space as a 26 foot box truck.

I thought about my order later that night, something in my gut did not feel right. I went to the email address for cancellation, the only way you can and get your deposit back; the web page opened up, each time I clicked on it, each time it displayed

“404-file or directory not found”. I called Joshua the next morning to let him know what I discovered, the friendly sales rep that could be reached on his cell at anytime, was not longer available. I tried repeatedly to reach him on their 888 # and their customer service reps would continually say he was unavailable. Also, their customer service dept said I was not eligible to get my deposit returned to me through them. I had to go to their webpage to do that. I told them it didn’t open up to anything, file not found. Still, they said they couldn’t do anything. Exasperated, I called back and cancelled my order; at least I had control over that. I’m still out the $700 deposit. I have filed with the FTC and the Attorney General in Florida (where the company is based). Now, filing a fraudulent complaint with the BBB, I surely hope I can get some justice and have my deposit refunded and also alert others, so this won’t happen to them!
