I received a call promising me a free gov't grant for $14,589. They claimed to be US Health and Human Services Dept . She said her name is Emily Johnson and provided a badge number for a special department. She said her call back number is 206-397-8261, number not shown to a business/agency. She gave the address as 2201 N 6th Ave, Seattle WA 98121 which is the address for a business called Hotel Five - A Staypineapple. I saw where this was going because I had a friend that had a similar situation and next they would be asking me to send them money for some reason before they would send the grant (which I never applied for). I told them I had to ask someone else about this before I would commit to anything. I am not calling back. I wanted others to be aware of these types of scams so I reported it to BBB.
