- Tullahoma, TN, USA

I have recieved two calls saying I have been approved for a U.S.Government Grant. The speakers speak in a foreign language. They give is id numbers and leaving supervisor contact numbers. They called me back today from an international number. The number is 202-300-6000. Names of representatives is Marco, Jenny and the directions were to go to any place that i can recieve the funds like western union. Other contact numbers that is being used is 615-242-6000, 202-076-5736, 574-334-8185 and my assigned id number given to me was 7169788. This is very untrustworthy and invalid information in the process of such grants. Beware and report to ScamPulse.com if this happens to you. Do not give personal information to the people. The did not request it and said we will not be asking for any personal information.

I am getting 6-8 calls per day from various numbers and when I answer, the caller says (my name) and then "this is the US Govt Grant Department, and the United States is giving you a free grant." They continue to speak and I tell them "please stop calling me" and hang up. I know these are scammers and want others to be aware of the scam. I know they are after money but I don't give them a chance to ask.

Received a call from someone with a heavy accent saying he was calling from US grant department and that I had received a $9,000 grant. This is clearly some kind of scam. I did not proceed any further.

I have received over a dozen calls today from these people. They claim to be from the US Grant Department. All of the callers seem to be of Asian desent. I have asked and asked for them to leave me alone and minutes later, they call back. You ask them to remove your name and they hang up only to call back minutes later.

Scammers tried to tell me I got a government grant for $9000. They even knew my city and zip code. Then they tried to ask me all sorts of questions about my age, and blah, blah, blah. I told them to stop calling me. I asked them how I even was qualified for the loan. They didn't understand. I asked, what criteria do you use to determine who is eligible for the grant. They hung up. Called me the next day, told me I was qualified for the grant. Then said, "Listen carefully, I am going to tell you how you qualify for the grant." They said some *** about how I pay my taxes and they selected 17,000 people in my area who also pay my taxes. So wait you say, 17,000 people will recieve $9000 grants for FREE! Thats like a $153,000,000, how the *** is the government going to pay for that when they can't even pay for health care, arts programs, and birth control! Ha Ha. Mind you I knew this was a scam from the get-go. I told them to stop calling. Then they told me they are going to call me every day until I fall for their scam! Whooooa. Wait a minute, so you're telling me every day I get to come up with some creative bull story about how I don't want your crazy illegal, scammer money. Sounds like a fun game!

They called and said I was randomly selected to receive money that I would never have to pay back.

The US Grant Office called me to say they wanted to give me a grant of $9,000 for a fee of $222.00.

- Springfield, MO, USA

I was called by someone that told me that I was getting a $7000 grant for having no criminal background and I have paid my taxes on time. He gave me a number *** and told me to talk to Sara Young. She instructed me to go to money gram and sent $ 250 and to a *** *** in Tampa Florida. Then I spoke to a *** Torres at 206-201-2724 and after hours on the phone he gave me two reference numbers to pick up my $7000 grant money and I would also get my $250 for my registration fee to register my name with the Treasury Department. Oh, and then he tells me that I need to make a one time payment of $400 to activate my reference numbers that he gave me earlier. I told him that I didn't have the money. So he hangs up and calls me back. I told him I still didn't have the money. He said well if you can come up with half the money, of $200 then he would activate one of the reference numbers and I could collect half of the grant money. So dummy me I send another $200. Then oh no, there is a problem, he sends me to talk to his manager Paul Williams, which states that the computer won't allow me to get my money until I make the whole one time payment of $400. He then sends me back to *** Torres who then tells me that if I send him the other $200 he would put the two payments together and I would get my money, and not to worry. Ok, I'm dumb again, wanting to believe him. He guarantees me 110% that I will have my money and not to worry. Well now it is going on two days, and *** Torres' manager says that I have to make the one time payment and the computer won't let him over ride the two payments and make them into one. So here I am arguing with these people and tell them to just send my $650 back and call it a day, but oh no now he is saying that it will cost me $150 to cancel the grant and send me my money back. So I ask to talk to Paul Siniski, the person in charge of all of them, but no one can let me talk to him. So *** Torres calls me back today and asks me if I am going to make the one time payment of $400, so that I can get my grant money. I told him no, told him that it was his fault that he made the mistake and needed to fix the problem, but I was told that I made the mistake and I'm not listening to him, I just need to send the money and he will then release my grant money. When I asked to talk to Paul Siniski or have his number, they refused. He continued to explain that I needed to send the payment and he would be so generous that he would pull $5000 out of his own pocket to add to my grant money if I would just send the one time payment of $400. When I refused to send anymore money and through a fit about it, he said that I could call the FBI, the CIA, the police and any lawyer that I wanted but it wasn't going to do me any good and hung up on me. So I called back the numbers that I had and no one would answer. Finally I got through to a Thomas Lee, and was told that he had no authority to help me with my problem and *** would call me back. He said that *** was on the phone talking to another consumer and would have to call me back in ten minutes. I asked if *** was stealing money from someone else. He replied no ma'am he is not, I told him that I wanted Paul Siniski or Brandi Davis' number so that I could go over their heads and get this taken care of. *** called me back within about 1 minute and gave me the same broken story and hung up on me again.

So basically I was scammed out of $650 and need people to beware of these numbers ***1 is a New York number and *** ** * *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***

I have been getting call from this number for about 8 months, they told me that I was randomly selected to receive a $7000 grant, I refused to give them any personal information without further confirmation and they would hang up. The next month I would get another call. Last month when I refused and told the person to take me off their list and stop calling me, the cussed me out calling me insulting names and hung up. I want the to stop calling and I feel I should warn others.
