I've had several calls on my home phone from (625-894-5283.) I didn't have any clue who was calling so the 1st several times they called I didn't answer. Today, 12/22/16 I decided to answer because they were calling so much. It was a man & his speech was not American. He said my name & phone number had randomly been selected to receive Grant money. He told me he was calling from US EDUCATION GRANT DEPARTMENT. He then told me that his supervisor would be asking me a few questions (when he connected me to them.) Then he started telling me what questions I would be asked and told me exactly what to tell his supervisor. The 1st question would be about going back to college. He told me even though I had no intention on going back to school to tell his supervisor I was wanting to go back to college within the next 2-3 months. He asked what types of things interested me if I ever did decide to go back to college. I told him Applied Health Science to get an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. He then told me that his supervisor would ask what would be my major and told me to tell him Healthcare & I wanted a Bachelor Degree. I asked him why would I say these things because I'm not planning on going back to college. He said I had to answer the questions just like he told me to. He also told me to pick any college, call and have them send me an application for that school. He told me to fill it out and send it back, that way I would qualify 100% for grant money to do whatever I wanted with it. Also I by no means had to go back to college. So basically he was trying to get me to commit fraud and rip off the US Education Grant Department. I hung up on him as he was transferring me to his supervisor. That's when I received 3 calls from a cell phone in Nevada (702) 237-0611 but I didn't answer. I take this serious because whoever these people are..are getting people to lie to get money that should be going towards tuition or something to do with college and not in someone's pocket. Thank you.
