I was contacted several times about consolidating my student loans. The kicker was, I work in a non- profit and after 10 years, what ever is left on my loans would be written off. That is true, as I heard this before. They received all my personal information, ss#'s of me, husband and even my adult sons(college age) as it was on my tax records and also received copies of my pay stubs too. I didn't lose any money..I have a password on my back account, I did call the bank and was told that no one has tried anything with my account. I'm still worried as they have my families social security #'s and personal info. I'm enrolled in a credit alert system at this time being. This occurred in November. It is now January. I tried calling all the phone #'s and email no response. The phone numbers are "not working" or disconnected".
