Someone named "Julie Harris" called me to let me know that my address and name had been used on a package in a drug and money laundering scam. Everything she said sounded very rehearsed, and I heard other people in the background saying the same thing; it was a busy room. She gave me her name, badge number, a case number, warrant number, and asked if I recognized two addresses in Texas. She asked me to verify my zip code, which I did, but the longer she went on (and told me not to interrupt when I hadn't said anything yet), the more it sounded like a scam. I looked up some details on Google about what she was saying and saw that there are multiple articles with the same details of my experience. I didn't sit for the entire phone call, because while we were on the phone, I immediately checked my accounts, and there are no red flags. Towards the end, she started adding more things that my name was being used for. It was a local number, but kept breaking up, and seemed rushed; it didn't feel like a legit process.

I had the same call but was an Indian or Pakastani sounding female voice. the call originated or at least came from the DC area but that was probably faked (202) Area code. I really wish Cell phone providers can clamp down on this. Geez I hope they don't arrest me! Golly, I'm scared... NOT! Best never to call them back and just block the number. Government agencies normally don't call people with threats.

I just received a call from someone pretending to be from U.S Customs and Border Patrol saying my package is being held and if I do not call back a warrant will be issued and I will be arrested. I called back and was asked for my full name and Social Security number. I refused to provide the information, I then heard a click and a voice recording saying, "We are unable to process your call at this time. Please hang up." The call generated from this phone number (1-413-853-3625)
