I am hoping I was not scammed. I was having trouble with my AOL account. I googled the number for AOL tech support. Once I dialed the number I was assured they were working for AOL and Microsoft. This happened over 6 weeks ago and I still have a feeling in my gut that something isn't right. They did talk me into taking over my computer and working on it. I have had no problems since then, but they did charge me 399.00 for the call and for a years technical support. Everything in the description of the scam from BBB hits home. Praying this didn't happen to me, but also don't want it to happen to anyone else.
