I saw a job posting on Indeed for a remote administrative assistant job. I was reached out to on Indeed that I'd be a perfect candidate. I was then directed to follow up with the email given. They were going to send me a check for materials and the first week's pay. Luckily there was an issue getting the check. They started to suggest that I use Zelle or Apple Pay to send the money to their "supplier". When that didn't work (luckily I was low cash funds too), they suggested getting Best Buy gift cards to have a software mailed to me. All contact was done as a mix of text and email.
