Uptown Pug Puppies Reports & Reviews (5)

Wow
Thanks for the reviews! I did not even make an inquiry, I was only browsing for 'pugs for sale'. I get an email saying that Google gave them our info and that they had Pugs for sale. So I said I was interested in 'Ted'.
Then I noticed there was no address, no name, no phone number but a very well put website. RED FLAGS!
So I wrote a very 'interesting' reply to Mr Anonymous and asked him to get inserted where the sun don't shine.
I quickly did a review search and came across this site.
I did the right thing.
Sorry for folks who lost money to criminals!

Not to be trusted. Everything looks legit on the site and paperwork. Emails included pictures and videos of the pugs. However, once we were approved for the puppy and it was time to send funds;the name on the Zelle account didn't match the name given to me. Huge red flag. Also, once I informed him that the names didn't match, he let me know the "correct" name and stated that it was okay to send the funds. He was insistent that I send the funds asap to ensure delivery on Sunday (It was Thursday evening when this all took n place). I stated that I would review and send funds in the morning since it was going on 10pm. He texted at 1230am and insisted that I send funds and questioned my whereabouts.
That is when my gut feeling came true. I sent him an email and text the following morning asking more questions "before I was going to send funds" that were never answered. I then stated to cancel my application due to unanswered questions and all the inconsistencies. Thank the Lord I lost no money!

There are a list of pug puppies without any prices. There is a button to click to adopt. You fill out what looks like an adoption application. A day later someone who goes by Miles emails you with a price you cannot beat for a puppy. You give him a name and address and a pick up date. He then asks which app would I prefer to pay will. Either cash app or Zelle. Never heard of either and there is no way to get a refund after a transfer is made. Even if it is a scam. Miles lets you know that the puppy will be dropped off to your home. No need to go to the airport because the puppy needs the best care possible. I didnt go any further because I read other scam reviews that sounded exactly like mine. No money was exchanged. I told the scammer I was no longer interested and blocked him on everything.

Later on I reverse google searched the photo that was used on the website, not they email photos, and it was every where on line.
Included is the initial email and the one after I replied. As well as some text messages between the scammer and I.

I searched for a pug puppy. Came across this website and reached out. I was promptly notified they had a puppy available, They sent me videos of her and pictures. I was sent a contract and ways to pay. Everything seemed very standard and professional. I signed the contract and sent the money. I was told the puppy will be delivered to my home the following day. The following day I reached out, because I had not heard from them, regarding arrival time. Another reply stating the puppy can not fly that day. She will come the next. Again the next day I reached out and was told they were on the way to bring the puppy to the travel agency and I would be notified from them. I received an email from the travel agency insisting they can not release the puppy with out me purchasing a special cooling create. I asked searched for a number for this agency or a website.None I requested a call back, which I received. The number was not in the same state and the caller insisted I pay or no puppy. I tried to contact the puppy seller and asked for a call from them..nothing. No puppy and I am out a great deal of money.

I was looking for a pug puppy for my Aunt. I found the website Uptown Pug Puppies and reached out to them. I received a response back from Mr. Maxwell asking me what pug I was interested in. I told him and he responded back with various questions about me. He then sent another email stating that the puppy Lela would be perfect for me and he sent me a Sales Contract Ageement on June 7, 2020. I signed the agreement and returned to him. At that time, I noticed he was in Montana and I am in Maryland. Mr. Maxwell assured me that for $150.00 extra (the puppy fee was $600.00) that he could safely ship the dog to my door. He asked me to put money in his Zelle account, but I don't have a Zelle account myself and it was no working. The next morning, I told him i was going to send a Western Union to him. It seemed a bit odd to me that when I emailed him early on the morning of June 8th (probably around 9:00 in the am.) that he immediately responded to me, thinking there was a three hour time difference. Another flag that i should have keyed into was that the money did not go to Montana, it went to Rapson Maxwell in Oklahoma. But last name was the same, so I continued to send the money. The money was picked up around 4:00 my time that afternoon. I emailed Mr. Maxwell asking him what happens next and I was told that he had to confirm the payment and then would register the puppy to be prepared to ship her. Another email arrived the next day, June 9th stating the puppy was registered and to await instructions from the delivery company. I then received an email from Pet Movers Air Cargo, no phone number or anything, telling me that it was 'mandatory' that I rent an air conditioning crate to transport the puppy in, one being over $900.00 and the second "recommended" one was $1200.00, of which I would get 98% back. Next thing I know, I get a phone call from a 703 area code (which I know is Virginia, not Montana) stating they are the delivery company, they have my dog and asked me to pay the crate rental fee, again, no credit card. I demanded at that point that there was no way I would rent the crate any other way than with a credit card, so I am protected (I am still being stupid at this point, trying to think in my head how this is not a scam and feeling really stupid about it) I told them I wanted to see the agreement stating that i would get 98% of the rental fee back, and of course, that never happened and they hung up on me. Several emails were sent to Mr. Maxwell and of course, no answer. Also no answer on the phone either.
