My mother-in-law received a text message alert about a package that was attempting to be delivered by UPS to my home address. The text said the package was on hold at the UPS warehouse with a link to reschedule delivery. We never receiving an official shipping notification or tracking ID. I clicked on the link which went to delivery.in.thomascook.com and it looked and felt like UPS's official site and so I attempted to reschedule delivery. I provided my name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and credit card info to pay $1.20 to get the delivery rescheduled because I am not currently at my home address to receive the package. I realized all of this suspicious, and realized the url in the text message was not the official UPS site.
