Memory ReMine of Myrtle Beach, SC created the site upchatshare.com and hired 30 freelance writers via a job listing on Indeed in March 2022. He had us all sign contracts stating that we'd be paid $1500 at the end of every month. We all worked for a month and Mr. ReMine made an excuse as to why he wouldn't be paying us on March 31. He moved the payment date to April 11 without explanation other than he needed to "move some money around" and that he was still meeting with investors. On April 11 we all requested our pay and he refused to respond to messages and started deleting UpChat's social media accounts so the social media manager (also an employee he didn't pay) couldn't gain access. He owes us pay for the work we did from March 1 - April 11, and refuses to communicate with us.
